There are many important benefits to ninja training!...
Most people think of being a ninja in terms of it being a 'martial art'. But in the east, being a ninja is not merely being a martial art - it is about being a member of an extended family.
Firstly, the clan has discovered methods of training that give its members extended youth until they are around 60 - meaning that even a ninja who is in his 40s looks like he's in his 20s. Not only that, but it is almost unheard of for a ninja to suffer from heart disease or kidney disease or obesity or diabetes or even arthritis - all the 'chronic diseases' of humanity. And a ninja retains the use of mind and body until the age of a hundred.
And perhaps they are right. However, I have saved a german girl from being raped in a city in Asia, so it can actually be useful sometimes. At least that girl would agree. Also, the reflexes that such training gives are useful. For example, once I was sitting on a fence on a mountain road when the upper rail of the fence collapsed. I fell backwards over the side of the mountain, but even as I fell, my legs caught the lower rail, and I easily saved myself.
These are only a small examples of how I have myself benefited from ninja training. Another time, I was driving a motorcycle when a truck coming towards me from the opposite direction went out of control and headed for me - it was moving at speed and barely thirty feet away. Anyone else would have died, but I placed my leg on the ground at exactly the right angle to turn the motorcycle - also moving at speed - enough to move out of the path of the truck. And so on.
Under the training, the body ceases to age, and becomes virtually indestructible. All the ailments that affect humanity - aging, heart disease, diabetes, mental issues associated with age - none of these affect the ninja.
The clan is always there to support each ninja. Besides this many ninja are very talented, so there are always partners for artistic, literary or scientific projects. I am writing a book with one ninja, and I am making a statue of a dragon with another ninja. When one is a part of the Clan, the possibilities are endless.
