What insignia, badges and costumes ( gi )
does a gyokku ninja wear during ninjutsu training?

"Master, I am curious about the costumes or gi that a Gyokku ninja wears - are there insignia or badges that you recieve to show your rank in ninjutsu training?"

Daichi Kawabata - real life gyokku ninja master

Regarding insignia or badges, the ninja, of course, do not wear any!

It would be rather strange for ninja to go around with patches saying 'I am ninja' or 'I belong to Clan Gyokku.'

It would be as bad as carrying identification.

The official costume of the Ninja...

In training, a black gi is often used. Wraps for hands and legs are also good in training - they provide camouflage, prevent the suit from flapping around, and prevent injuries to the wrist and ankles.

However, the black gi is not used on overt missions - it goes without saying that the black training kimono is not mission effective for the stealth operative, as it is imperfect as regards to camouflage.

Overt Combat Gear

On overt combat missions, ninja wear a smoky-gray camouflage bodysuit with matching mask and hood. The suit is designed to be donned within a minute, with zip or velcro fastenings that allow it to be donned, and the forearm and shin areas 'tightened' relatively quickly.

Over this goes a weapons harness
which all the ninja's weapons can attach to.

This consists of a harness of canvas or leather with velcro and brass rings built into it, on which you can attach variable weaponry depending on mission requirements.

Battle Armor of the Gyokku Ninja

If you wish to wear armor (optional) between your basic costume or gi and your weapon harness, this is permissible, but the armor will of course need the same camouflage. Armors worn by ninjutsu exponents vary, depending on the weapons they need to guard against.

Plates are best for melee combat. Kevlar and Ceramic are best for firearms.

This is the basic mission combat garb worn within the Clan.
