...How to Begin to Use Penetrating Referral Shock-Wave Attacks...

 

 

Remember, my Deshi, that all ninja attacks have a considerable emphasis on penetrating power. Indeed, these 'penetrating effect' strikes are a trademark of Gyokku Ninja attacks. This attack principle is simple, but you must master it to continue to progress in your training.

In ANY attack, a ninja seeks to reach INTO the body of his enemy, to damage some crucial organ (later you will target nerves and blood vessels, as well as weak points in the bones). Therefore, in ALL your strikes, including roundhouse strikes that come in from the side, you must seek to smash into your target, to set up a wave of shock that travels into the body of your enemy.

Imagine your enemy as a bag of liquid. Visualize your strike setting up a wave in this liquid that travels through his body in the same direction as your blow. You MUST be able to see this in your mind as you strike your enemy - and even during your training, as you train against a makiwara board, or a heavy bag. Always strike to set up a shockwave. Always visualize the effect your blow has on the target within your mind AS you strike.

Correct action in combat - or in everyday life - begins with the MIND. Control the mind, use it correctly, and all else will follow.

Now, advanced students who are beginning to walk the Way of the Ninja... I want you to use this system of attack to train against a makiwara board or a heavy bag. Do this for one week, or for one month - do it until you are SURE you have mastered the method of penetrating your foe with referral shockwaves generated by your strikes.
