Everyone of us has dreams of one sort or another. Yet many of us find that we have to balance our dreams with 'realities'. Usually, these realities are a lack of resources, money or time.
The answer is in this sword.... No, do not shake your head. It is the right of a master to speak in parables. Look at the sword below, created in the forges of the Gyokku Ninja Clan.
Look at the artistry, the exquisite beauty of it. Such a sword would be welcome in any museum of the world. It should cost a fortune. In the Gyokku Ninja dojo, such a sword costs roughly ten dollars to make - and that of the finest grade steel! A gi, the black uniform of the ninja, costs us just ten dollars to manufacture - and this of cloth so tough that it lasts for years under the heaviest of use.
Now tell me if the Clan has not - to a great extent - defeated the need for 'money'? When the cost of everything is negligible, money becomes unimportant.

The Gyokku Ninja Clan controls every stage of the production process for everything the Clan needs. Food is grown on Clan Lands. Excess is bartered for other necessities, but only for raw materials - the Clan always handles production of everything we need in-house. Clothing is created by clan members; weapons are created by clan smiths.
We cut out the entire commerical-industrial complex. Food is considered a basic right, and is available to all Clan Members for free. Clothing is also free. So is shelter. So is education - not merely in the martial forms of the Ninja, but in all science and all arts. So is almost everything a person needs. The clan is taking this one step further in this new modern age - we hope to set up laboratories over the next ten years so that young Clan scientists with dreams shall be free to explore new avenues of research without having to grovel before some industrialist for 'funding'.
The same applies to anyone with dreams and vision. We believe that a person can only do their best work if they are completely free. My brothers and sisters, this utter freedom is the future of the human race.
Quite simply. No one is corrupt. No one is selfish. No one is greedy. That's all it takes. Labors that are necessary, are shared - for example, the growing of food. Education is free because everyone who loves knowledge loves to teach. And when people love to teach, children love to learn from them.
And when all production is in-house, the profits of big businesses are not part of the price of a product! - which means that what we produce costs ONLY as much as the raw materials, nothing more. And beyond that, careful investments provide funding - for now.
In time we hope to make the entire system completely independent of the outside world. But for now, even in this form, it WORKS. Clan members never have to work for a living, and (other than shared labors necessary to maintain the system) are completely free to pursue anything that interests them - arts, science, writing, physical training. Anything.
