NINJA SHADOW SHIELD - INTRODUCTION
ALSO INCLUDES KNIFE 'SHOCK RELEASES'

The Shadow Shield is one of the least known, and yet one of the deadliest and most versatile weapons in the ninja's repertoire - it is not only effective at blocking attacks (if the Shadow Shield makes contact with a limb, it shatters every bone in that limb), but it can also break swords and shatter most bladed weapons - and even deflect hand-gun bullets in the right circumstances.

True mastery of the Shadow Shield is a complete jutsu form, but here you will learn the basics of effective hangeki (counter-attacks) that use the Shadow Shield.

The Shadow Shield began to develop from the common ninja practice of wearing armor under one's clothing. The Shadow Shield started out as narrow bands of strong and thick steel strapped onto the forearms, and hidden by the sleeves, with which one could block - and break - limbs and swords. It evolved - as the ninja grew into an active military force - into the form you see today.

The Shadow Shield is a quarter of an inch of highly resistant steel - when wielded with skill and highly-trained sight-and-body co-ordination, it is a weapon capable of conquering virtually any melee weapon that is less resilient than a heavy mace.
