THE DISTINCTIVE KICKS OF NINJUTSU
One very important thing to remember in your ninjutsu training online, is that kicks used by the Gyokku Ninja are generally the kind that push into and penetrate the body. The stamping kick is an excellent example of this. When applied powerfully, it can temporarily disable or even kill a foe. The different applications of this kick are discussed below.
THE KA GERI OR STAMPING KICK AS A STUN BLOW
If you wish to disable your foe with the Ka Geri, apply it swiftly and with power to the solar plexus. The nerve complex in the solar plexus, combined with the shock to the diaphragm (which controls breathing) generally will ensure that your opponent is stunned for between several seconds to a minute - quite enough time for you to ensure that he is put on the ground for the rest of the encounter.
KA GERI FOR SERIOUS INJURY
A person who works at developing their kicking power can use the Ka Geri or stamping kick to more potent effect. If applied with sufficient force to the solar plexus, the stamping kick can cause permanent damage to the diaphragm, the membrane that controls the breathing, so that the opponent dies of suffocation.
The stamping kick, being a penetrating attack, can also be used to cause damage to organs such as the spleen, liver or bladder, in which case death from internal bleeding or widespread infection is usually inevitable.
The force of a powerful stamping kick can, if aimed directly, send a shockwave THROUGH the body and to the spine, causing damage to the spine.
KA GERI TO THE HEAD
The stamping kick can also be applied to the head by an especially flexible and fast combatant, in which case it can cause a concussion to the brain and knock out the foe. I have personally seen this done more than once, but the flexibility and speed required to successfully carry out such an attack without the opponent evading or countering are not common among warriors.
